C11000 ETP and C12200 DHP (phosphorus-deoxidized) are the dominant UNS grades. C12200 is preferred for plumbing and brazed assemblies because residual phosphorus improves brazeability and lowers oxidation.
Copper tube follows ASTM B75 (seamless), B88 (water tube), B280 (air-conditioning and refrigeration) and B68 (medical gas). Tube is supplied seamless in drawn (H58) or annealed (O61) tempers.
C11000 and C12200 are lead-free by composition, so they meet NSF/ANSI 61 and U.S. lead-free plumbing requirements without restriction. Avoid leaded brass where potable-water contact is involved.
Plumbing, HVACR, medical gas, heat exchangers and solar loops. Wall thickness follows Type K/L/M or ACR grades depending on pressure and service conditions.
