C63000 nickel aluminum bronze, also known as CuAl10Ni5Fe4, is a high-strength copper-aluminum-nickel-iron alloy supplied as rod and bar under ASTM B150. It delivers 690–900 MPa tensile strength with outstanding seawater corrosion and anti-galling performance, making it ideal for marine shafts, aerospace bushings, and heavy-wear industrial parts.

Product Overview

C63000 nickel aluminum bronze, commonly designated CuAl10Ni5Fe4 (EN CW307G), is a copper-aluminum-nickel-iron alloy with 9.0–11.0% aluminum, 4.0–5.5% nickel (including cobalt), and 2.0–4.0% iron, plus manganese up to 1.5% and copper as the balance (copper plus named elements 99.5% minimum). It is manufactured to UNS C63000, ASTM B150, and AMS 4640 for rod and bar requiring very high strength with corrosion resistance.

Supplied in the high-strength HR50 condition, C63000 reaches tensile strength of 690–900 MPa with yield strength of 345–550 MPa and elongation of 5–15%, with Brinell hardness of 180–250 HBW and elastic modulus about 117 GPa. Its nickel and iron additions stabilize the microstructure, giving excellent resistance to impingement, cavitation, and stress-corrosion cracking in seawater, plus anti-galling behavior in poorly lubricated bearing service. Density is 7.58 g/cm³; it retains useful strength to about 300°C.

C63000 is widely used for marine propeller shafts and pump parts, aerospace landing-gear bushings and actuators, industrial bushings, valve stems, and oil & gas tooling. Linsy Copper supplies C63000 nickel aluminum bronze rod and bar to ASTM B150, with low-MOQ custom production (typical lead time 10–60 days), in-house CNC machining and surface finishing, an MTR/MTC for every order, and optional SGS testing on request. Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about C63000 nickel aluminum bronze specifications, corrosion use, and ordering.

C63000 (CuAl10Ni5Fe4) is used where very high strength meets seawater corrosion resistance: marine propeller shafts and pump parts, aerospace landing-gear bushings and actuators, industrial bushings and wear plates, and oil & gas drill collars and BOP parts. It is supplied as rod and bar to ASTM B150 and AMS 4640.
In the HR50 condition C63000 delivers 690–900 MPa tensile strength with 180–250 HBW hardness — among the strongest copper alloys. Its nickel and iron contents give outstanding resistance to impingement, cavitation, and stress-corrosion cracking in seawater and brackish water, plus anti-galling wear behavior.
C61900 is a binary aluminum bronze (Cu-Al, no nickel) typically around 570–650 MPa, while C63000 adds 4–5.5% nickel and 2–4% iron for higher strength (up to 900 MPa) and much better corrosion, cavitation, and anti-galling performance in marine service. C63000 is the升级 choice for the harshest seawater and wear applications.
C63000 welds well by TIG/MIG and shielded metal arc but is not recommended for soldering or oxyacetylene welding. It machines only moderately (machinability about 20–30% of free-cutting brass) and is best hot-formed; finish machining is done after supply. Linsy provides in-house CNC machining to the required bushing or shaft profile.
Rod and bar are commonly supplied in HR50 (drawn and stress-relieved, high strength per AMS 4640) or M30 (as hot-extruded). Shapes can be as-extruded (O30) or annealed. Custom sections and stress-relieved tempers are available with minimum order quantities.
