C71500 copper nickel, commonly known as 70/30 CuNi, is a high-performance copper-nickel alloy offering exceptional seawater corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, and mechanical strength. It is widely used in naval vessels, offshore platforms, heat exchangers, and marine engineering applications.
Lead Time: 3-5 Business Days

Product Overview

C71500 copper nickel is a copper-nickel alloy containing approximately 70% copper and 30% nickel with controlled iron and manganese additions to enhance strength and seawater corrosion resistance. Compared with C70600, C71500 offers significantly improved resistance to high-velocity seawater, erosion-corrosion, and harsh marine environments.

Produced through extrusion, rolling, drawing, and welding processes, C71500 provides excellent mechanical strength, long-term durability, and superior resistance to marine biofouling. Its combination of corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity makes it one of the preferred materials for critical offshore and naval applications.

C71500 copper nickel is extensively used in seawater piping systems, condensers, heat exchangers, offshore structures, naval vessels, and desalination plants where reliability and service life are critical. It is widely applied across marine engineering, offshore energy, defense, and industrial water treatment industries.

FAQ — C71500 Copper Nickel

Common engineering questions on C71500 copper nickel: composition, standards, properties and supply.

C71500, known as 70/30 cupronickel (CuNi30Fe1Mn), contains about 30% nickel with controlled iron (0.4–1.0%) and manganese. It is the higher-strength, more corrosion-resistant grade of the cupronickels.
C71500 is covered by ASTM B111 (seamless tube), B466 (seamless pipe), B122 (plate/sheet), B171 (pressure-vessel plate) and B467. Tube is commonly supplied in annealed (O61) or drawn/stress-relieved tempers.
Annealed C71500 tube meets a minimum tensile strength of about 360–380 MPa with 30%+ elongation; conductivity is about 4–5% IACS. It resists erosion-corrosion in high-velocity and polluted seawater better than C70600.
High-velocity seawater piping, offshore platform risers, heat exchangers, condensers, brake tubing and desalination plants. It is the preferred cupronickel for demanding marine and offshore service.
Linsy Copper supplies C71500 copper nickel against ASTM specs with per-order MTR/MTC, SGS on request, RoHS/REACH compliance, low-MOQ custom production and a 10–60 day lead time, with quote response within 1 hour.
