C65100 Low-Silicon Bronze

C65100 low-silicon bronze, commonly referred to as Low-Silicon Bronze B, is a wrought copper-silicon alloy containing 0.8–2.0% silicon with minor iron, manganese, and zinc additions. It is governed by ASTM B98 for rod, bar, plate, and strip, and is produced for applications where weldability and corrosion resistance matter more than peak strength.

Produced through hot working and cold drawing, C65100 offers good ductility in the annealed temper and high fatigue endurance after cold work. It welds readily by gas-shielded arc and resistance methods, resists seawater and mildly acidic or alkaline media, and stays non-magnetic. Tensile strength ranges from 380 MPa in H02 half-hard temper to about 585 MPa in H06 extra-hard temper, with electrical conductivity of 12–17% IACS.
